This is Faith

To believe past reason’s gloomy path

To look for light amidst the darkness

To stand upon the promise of abundant life

When all seems lost

This is faith

Like a blind man walking past the bright sun

We can miss His blessing

But if we believe, God’s best will unfold

We walk by faith and not by sight

And we shall see His glory

Be Like a Bucket

Come my son, my daughter

Be like a bucket

Let the water of My Spirit

And the water of My word

Fill you to overflowing

Come to the fountain of my love

Receive deeply of Me

Let my rivers spill over on those around you

Rivers of mercy

Rivers of healing

Rivers of revival

Be like a bucket

Empty of you, full of me

Be like a bucket

Two are Better

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

When I need to move furniture in my house, I often call on a friend for help. Why, because two are better than one. My strength plus his strength makes the task much more doable. When I go through a trial, I am wise if I ask for help. I should first go to the Lord who sees our hearts and offers deliverance. But after going to the Lord, it helps to include our spouse, if we are married, as well as others depending upon the severity of the trial. The prayers of the saints are powerful and confiding in another believer regarding our troubles helps to lift our burdens.

If we fall, our brother or sister can help us up. We are stronger when we work together.  A threefold cord is not easily broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12). That threefold cord represents two people in covenant with God.

If you are hurting, do not bear your burden alone. Go to the Lord and find a friend who can also help to bear your weight of suffering. The battle is the Lords, but He often uses people to help us during the challenges of life.

The next time you go through a trial remember that two are better than one.
